NG Nero / Dante Mission 14

Target LRT - sub 2:45

This mission will test your positional awareness when performing attacks as it has a heavy presence of Faults. If you get grabbed by one, you will lose ~40-60s minimum and have to redo the fight you were on. With the introduction of Gilga, getting familiar with Distorting and Just Frame Attacks will become important for getting quick times on this mission. Overall, this is one of the hardest missions in the game.

In Mission 14, it is not required to purchase anything from the shop unless you're missing some abilities or items from the previous missions.

General Notes

  • Faults do NOT spawn on most inclines, wooden planks, the middle part of the bridge and stairs. Consider those safe zones when planning your positioning. Check the screenshots below for tips.
  • Faults have set zones in every location. Sometimes these zones intersect with each other. Using a simple Divekick w/ Gilgamesh will allow you to disable the Fault in the zone you're standing at.
  • In Ancient Training Ground, learning the timing of distort Divekick and Shock to efficiently deal with the Scarecrows.
  • Use Gunslinger E&I Twosome Time or Charge Shot on the Faust with DT to clear the cloak. After this, perform a Distorted Real Impact.
  • You can Enemy Step out of a Real Impact at the end of it to get a move on quicker. Just be careful not to do it too early.
  • In Ancient Plaza, you can get a Real Impact setup by using Prop on the spawning Assault.
  • In Windswept Valley, if you're planning to try the Real Impact setup, the Fault and the Chimera Scarecrow are important to kill off quickly. The Fault will grab you if it's not eliminated. Turn the camera away and the Chimera Assault will go to the corner and Stinger it to a Real Impact. You can also get a Double Stinger setup into Real Impact for the last Chimera Assault when it spawns.
  • Grab the Orb Crystal with Prop-Shredder before ending the mission.

Fault Safe Zones

The River becomes safe after you eliminate one Fault.

The Red marked incline cannot be accessed by Faults.

The Bridge is relatively safe especially in the middle.

The Pit becomes safe after you eliminate one Fault.

The Wooden Planks are somewhat safe. Be cautious with these.

The Stairs are completely safe but be careful around edges.

The marked Blue terrain is the only safe part here.
