Jester is the bonus boss in the Special Edition of DMC3 and you encounter him three times throughout the game. Although, Mission 5 is the only mandatory fight while the other two encounters are optional fight.
2nd and 3rd fight will always summon the smiling ball whenever the player takes out 45% of his HP.
Vergil quick kill depends on Starfall JC's execution along with Jester telporting at the right spot. Dante two cycle depends on his pattern after the first cycle.
The idea stays the same for both characters but they have to watch out for the attacks since getting hit DMD in general is bad.
Dante have to rollguard as he can during any of these patterns. Although with Wave balls pattern, he has to run away from three waves and then stay still for the guard.
It's possible to conserve Rage-meter with Shotgun cancel being your primary way of damaging him. It's also slightly faster but more risker if the rhythm is dropped.
Vergil has to pray that Jester teleports into any of the corners so his Starfall JC's would not slip around due to the hitbox. Although, It's possible that PS might be the main reason for that matter.
