V Skills

This is a list related to the different techniques used for general V commands to understand Damage, Stylish points and properties. (1)

  • Nightmare spawn is random and his behaviour cannot be controlled until Promotion is bought.
  • V DT consumption depends on his pet otherwise he has the lowest DT drain.
  • Amount of Style Point and DT gain changes on V's Checkmate timing (2)

Fast: Wthin 1.25s from dying state 750 500

Gambit
  • A teleportation technique. Throw your cane at a target to appear next to them.
  • Using this move to a dying enemy will kill them instantly.
  • Command: + O
Touch And Move
  • Teleport to the next target the moment you finish off the enemy in front of you.
  • Command: press O the moment you finish off an enemy with Checkmate

Royal Fork
  • Rain down demonic canes from on high finishing off all dying enemies in the area at once.
  • Expends the DT gauge by 1000

Vigor / Vim
  • Vigor Increase Griffon's defense, allowing him to take more hits before getting stalemated. First purchase grants 1.25 multiplier second is 2.
  • Vim Reduce the time needed for Griffon to recover after getting stalemated by x1.8
Gear Attack
  • Instantly attack an enemy. Only works when Shadow isn't summoned yet.
  • Command: When V is near enemy and locked on press

  • Follow up Shadow's claw attack with a series of piercing tentacle strikes.
  • Automatically becomes an air attack for airborne targets.

  • Shadow dives into the ground and dashes ahead, attacking with tentacles as it moves.

  • Shadow transforms into spikes that jut out in all directions to attack.
  • Level 2 adds needles that erupt from the ground behind Shadow.

  • Shadow's tail transforms into an axe to launch foes.

Promotion
  • Ride atop the demonic beast Nightmare.
  • Increases DT Gauge consumption during promotion by x0.4 then x0.9 during nightmare actions (x0.75 if Trigger Heart)
  • Consumes DT of enemy's move x0.5 times when damaged.
  • Command: While Nightmare is active, press + O, or X in the air near Nightmare to mount. + X or X in the air to dismount
Combo A
  • Nightmare unleashes a brutal flurry of punches at the enemy.
  • Consumes DT by 950.
  • Command: O > O > O
