Actions

This is a list related to the different techniques that is used to Vergil commands to understand properties (1)

Concentration Gauge has 2 Levels. This system has specific determination whether it increases or decrease around the enemy

Action that increases or decrease the Gauge
Increasing Behavior Lock-on, Slow Movement, Air Trick, Enemy Hit or Dodge. Shooting, JJC, Taunt
Decreasing Behavior Run, Attack Whiff, Take Damage

Summoned Swords


Side Roll
  • Evade an enemy attack by rolling to the side.
  • Contains invincibility frames.
  • Command: + sideways on + X
Damage CP Value CP Timer DT Gain
Normal Dodge - 150 - 350
Perfect Dodge - 250 - 800
Kick Jump
  • Jump again by pushing off a wall.
  • Command: After jumping, press X near a wall.
Devil Trigger
  • unleash the devil within Vergil. Depletes the DT Gauge.
  • Purchasing Trigger Heart will reduce the depletion rate of the DT Gauge.
  • Some of the Vergil's attack will be infused with his demonic energy that instantly consumes part of his DT gauge.
  • Most enemies attack will not interrupt Vergil's action.

Enemy Step
  • Also known as JC. One of the one of the core aspects for this series.
  • This is one of the most expensive ability to purchase.
  • Command: In mid-air, press X near an enemy.

Get More Orbs
  • Passive ability which increases the range from which you gather orbs.
  • This means you can be in any position to collect, which is helpful to make a quick exit on certain rooms.
Speed
  • By continuing to press in the same direction with the your footspeed will increase.
  • Mandatory ability to buy.
Air Trick
  • Mark your target with a Summoned Sword then close the distance with a high-speed movement.
  • Command: + O
Grim Trick
  • Mark a Grim Grip with a Summoned Sword, then teleport to it.
  • Command: + O
Trick Up
  • Teleport to a spot directly above your head.
  • Command: O
Trick Down
  • Teleport diagonally down and back if done in mid-air, and just backwards on the ground.
  • Command: While in DT + + X
Side Dash
  • Teleport to the side to avoid attacks.
  • Command: While in DT + sideways on + X

  • Launch swords created from demonic power.
  • Each level increases the fire rate, range and number of swords. It also strengthens related moves.

Spiral Swords
  • Creates a ring of Summoned Swords around you that acts as a shield.

Storm Swords
  • Countless swords surround an enemy, then attack all at once, launching them in the air.

Blistering Swords
  • Create swords around you that launch themselves at your enemy one after another.

  • Creates a deadly rainfall of Summoned Swords above your enemy's head, which temporarily stops them.
