Sanctus

Sanctus is a one time boss that appears end of first character section at Mission 11.

Nero

  • This boss gets affected by FPS where Roulette Spins and Jumps play huge part in it. 120 FPS has something similar with the risky cycle but nowhere smooth as 60 FPS.
  • It's possible to do Busterless Phase 1 but usually it's not reliable.
  • You must mash Buster and Summoned Swords during the animation otherwise you won't deal enough damage to skip or kill in both Phases.
  • The second phase will always end the same way as long as Buster is used when Sanctus HP bar is 2. It usually take High Roller into 1 or 2 Roulette Spins depending on player's Exceed.
  • Detonate Sanctus with CS'3 as soon as you break the shield and transform during Snatch then follow up with one of the options below:
60 FPS Cycle - Recommended for Console runners
Roulette Spin → Air Hike → Roulette Spin → Snatch → Roulette Spin → Roulette Spin from Ground Jump → Buster
Safe 120 FPS Cycle - If the Exceeds were good then Buster in Human-state will still kill him in Phase 1
Snatch from Ground → 3 hits of Combo A → High Roller
Roulette Spin → Air Hike → Roulette Spin → Snatch → Roulette Spin → Buster
Do not DT on the first Snatch while chasing Sanctus
Aerial Combo → Snatch DT → High Roller
Roulette Spin → Air Hike → Roulette Spin → Snatch → Roulette Spin → Snatch → Slash → Buster
Risky 120 FPS Cycle - 2nd Jump is the hardest part refer to the video demo on how to salvage the situation
Roulette Spin → Air Hike → Roulette Spin → un-DT
Jump DT Snatch → Roulette Spin → Air Hike → Roulette Spin → Snatch → Roulette Spin → Snatch → Buster

The loading-screen can throw off Buster timing sometimes, so always be ready to react after the cutscene skip

If Sanctus is too high due to EX3-High Roller then Roulette Spins from the 2nd set will knock him far away
