# Runner PTS
===== How does it work ? ===== **About the system** - This system is designed to emulate [[https://haloruns.com/|HaloRuns Community points]] system. In our case we call it **DMC PTS** This system uses the same formula they use to distribute points to each [[src>series/devil_may_cry|DMC players]], add them together, and determine who the most well-rounded player is across the entire speedrunning community. The purpose is to funnel people into running the game more and branch out to compete into different DMC games.\\ \\ **PTS Determination** - **PTS** varies per category and World record runs will receive **max PTS**. Then the subsequent runners will get points based on the ratio of time between their time and the record's time, in seconds. For example, if the world record is 10 minutes and your run is 15 minutes, the ratio would be 600/900 After getting the ratio (x), the following formula is used: P = 0.008 * e4.8284x ++++ As an example, here is how many points a player would receive if the world record was 1:20:00 | * 1:20:00 = **1000 PTS** * 1:25:00 = **752 PTS** * 1:30:00 = **584 PTS** * 1:40:00 = **380 PTS** * 3:00:00 = **68 PTS** * 4:00:00 = **40 PTS** * 5:00:00 = **28 PTS** ++++ ++++ In general categories are scored separately depending on the game but some general rules are | * Unregistered cannot be shown in the board as these are only avaliable to view in [[src>series/devil_may_cry|SRC itself]] * Main and competitive difficulties **1,000 PTS** which usually varies per game. * Super-Costumes receives penalty of x0.2 similar to [[dmc4:rank#evaluation_points|DMC4 Rank System]] * **Consoles** categories receives x0.3 penalty from the orginal point. This came from the community agreement as these categories are usually niche and has much less players. * **NG+** categories receive **400 PTS** by default.
