====== Rank Criteria ====== DMC4 Rank is determined on the Devil Hunter Points. The criteria are different for each mission. [(DMC4 Prima Official Game Guide (2008): Prima Games. Bonus Data, Mission Ranking Data; p. 154 - 157.)] ===== Evaluation points ===== At the end of the mission the player will be assigned a Level Ranking that uses the following criteria: * **Clear Bonus** - All missions come pre-packaged with a set number of points for the simple task of clearing the mission. This varies between missions, but not modes. These points translate directly into Devil Hunter Points after the multiplication process. [(:dmc4bonus)] * **Clear Time** - The time it took you to finish the mission. * **Stylish Points** - This is the accumulated Style Points in the mission. * **Orbs Found** - Find all the hidden stashes of Red Orbs throughout the level including breakable objects. * **Bonus/Penalty** - A Multiplier based on players performance throughout the mission such as no damage..etc. > {{:dmc4:proudsoul.png?nolink&50|}}The number of Proud Souls you gain at mission's end is equal to 3% of your total Devil Hunter points, rounded down. For instance, if the player scored **6,264** as detailed in the earlier example, then the number of Proud Souls obtained would be **187.92** or **187**. The multipliers and the numbers that apply to all missions is always the same regardless of the difficulty.

===== Style Scoring ===== Also known as Stylish pts are a measure of how well you have fought enemies [(:dmc4stylepoints)] Every time you hit and deal certain amount of damage. The game calculates your score as follows: SP = A x B x C x D x 0.1 * **A** - Amount of damage dealt to the enemy in the attack. * **B** - A multiplier that depends on the enemy and ranges from 1.0 to 2.0 with Weak Lesser Demons and Bosses have a value of 1.0 or close to it. Although, most Lesser Demons have a value closer to 2.0 or equal to it. * **C** - Reflects the Stylish Rank Multiplier table. Certain scenarios like deflecting Alto Angelo's Formation attack: Energy Sphere can instantly reward player highest rank. * **D** - Enemy re-spawn multiplier. This value decreases to zero so the player doesn't farm the same place over and over.
