===== History ===== * [[youtube>watch?v=0OBNvmXm9bw|Waifu created Story of How Speedrunning Took Over Devil May Cry 3]] * The routes were constantly changing due to the new combat strategies by [[youtube>watch?v=Pi-ArWBfWYw|hies that kept himself inspired by the style players]] [[src>dmc3se|Devil May Cry 3 Leaderboard]] went through following changes : * ^01/20/2020 Board overhaul with Consolidating platform subcategories to just be PC and Console. * ^08/29/2020 LRT became the primary timing method for PC runs. * ^02/09/2023 Turbo usage is allowed for Vergil runs. * ^12/14/2023 Style Switcher 3.1.3 is banned. This changes behaviour of the game such as Stinger slide to happen in M6 spike room where it is normally not possible. Changing the FOV of the game from 0.5 to anything else is banned. * ^12/26/2023 [[github>644/dmc3music|DMC3 Tools]] & [[github>muhopensores/dmc3-inputs-thing|DMC3 Inputs Thing]] are banned. Because, it causes an unwanted change in the way the video file cutscenes are played.
