====== Animation Cancel ====== Animation cancels are actions/tricks that allow the player to interrupt Dante's recovery animation while he performs a specific attack. This virtually removes the lag between 2 consecutive attack strings and allows you to chain high DPS combos to kill enemies quickly. ===== Applications ===== * **Slash Cancelling** - for killing waves of Marionettes in M1 and loop the first [[dmc1:nelo|Nelo]] encounter (More uses exist, though these are the most common). * **Grenadegun Cancels** - Primary method of DPS. * **Shotgun Twitching** - Usually used in DMD to kill Plasmas fast in M6 and break [[dmc1:mundus|Mundus Spheres]]. * **Menu Cancels** - [[dmc1:nightmare|Nightmare]] fights are very good example of this.
